Immediate callout to assist Dorset police to search for a 50 year old man in the Tower Park area of Poole. Search dog Oscar was deployed with support and other team members joined the Dorset Search and Rescue foot search teams. Callout to assist DorSAR search for a missing male, 69 in the Poole area. The man was believed to be suffering from dementia and other medical conditions. Two Search dogs and three supports were ready to attend but stood down prior to departure when the man was located safe by a member of the public. Callout to assist DorSAR search the Canford Cliffs area for a despondant man. Search dog Oscar with handler Steve responded. Other team members joined the foot search teams deployed to search the chines and areas of woodland. The team searched late into the night; in this multi agency response that included Police, DorSAR and Coastguard resources.

Second callout of the evening to support Dorset police search for a man in his 70’s reported missing by his carers since early morning. Handler Sarah with search dog Finley completed a search of a chine, which proved to be a challenging task given the steep terrain and dense foliage. Other team members joined the foot search teams. The man was successfully found safe that evening.

Callout to assist HantSAR in search for 47 year old female missing from Lyndhurst area. Kath and Sheila responded and searched into the early hours on Saturday morning supporting Hampshire Search and Rescue and Hampshire Search Dogs. The lady was found safe the next day. Daily Echo Report

The team responded to the second weekend of a National callout from Lowland Rescue to support Beds/Herts Police & CAMSAR search for missing William Taylor a 70 year old farmer who has been missing for a number of weeks. National callout to support Beds/Herts Police & CAMSAR this weekend to search for missing William Taylor a 70 year old farmer who has been missing for a number of weeks. Callout to support WilSAR search for a 60 year old man reported to be despondent. Sheila responded and assisted with a foot search of Salisbury race course and surrounding woodland. The afternoon heat was too hot for the search dogs to work safely and to the best effect; when temperatures dropped in the late evening two Hampshire dog team were deployed.

Callout to support DorSAR search for a 60 year old lady reported to be despondent . The search was located in Swanage Town centre based on intelligence from mobile phone signals. Search dog Oscar with handler Steve was supported by Jane. Sheila joined a DorSAR foot search team for her first search since qualifying as a search tech. The lady was quickly located and teams stood down shortly after being deployed.

Callout to assist DorSAR in the search for a 40 year old lady from Blandford reported missing. Wendy and Serena assisted with the foot search of Blandford Wood. Search Dog Finley with handler Sarah attended later and completed a hasty search of woodland near the Bryanston school with support from Dawn and Serena. The police drone team was launched and DorSAR water search team were deployed. Wessex 4X4 supported the search with transport and it was one of their vigilant drivers who located the missing person. Immediate Callout to assist DorSAR locate a missing 41 year old despondent male on Bournemouth Beach. Search Dog Oscar with handler Steve attended with support from Matt. Serena and Kath responded and joined the foot search teams. The team was stood down soon after deployment when the gentleman was located. Search Dog Finley and Sarah were stood down before departure.

Immediate callout to assist DorSAR search for a 41 year old man believed to be suicidal and reported missing in the Horton area. Wendy and Serena attended first thing and supported with a foot search of dense woodland. Other team members were stood down prior to departure when the gentleman was found safe and well.

While the nation sat down to watch the Royal Wedding the team attended a callout to support DorSAR search for a 71 year old lady reported missing in Swanage. Steve and Search Dog Oscar attended with support from Laurence, they completed an extensive search of farmland and coastal paths. Wendy and Serena joined the foot search teams in their search across areas of farmland, coastal paths and a nature reserve. Matt attended offering operational support. It was good news at the end of the day when the lady was found safe and well elsewhere in the country. Bournemouth Echo news report

In the second call out of the day, Matt, Laurence and Wendy assisted DorSAR and Dorset Police search for missing Richard Norman, 30. The search started in the Worth Matravers area but the team were quickly re-deployed to the Corfe Castle area following an updated ‘place last scene’ location. Matt, Laurence and Wendy searched a popular tourist route at the base of the Castle before being stood down. The male was located by Police in the West Bay area – some 40 miles away. Callout to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police search for a missing despondent male who had previously self-harmed and had absconded from Bournemouth Hospital. Matt and Kath searched the areas opposite the hospital before being stood down. The male was located safe and well in a nearby property. Steve (with Search Dog Oscar) also responded but were stood down prior to deployment.

Callout to assist Hampshire Search and Rescue look for missing Scot Mackenzie in the Petersfield area. Scot MacKenzie (58), who is described as vulnerable, was last seen in the Tipner area of Portsmouth early on Monday, January 15. He is described as white, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, medium build, with grey receding hair, and was last seen wearing an olive green anorak.

Callout to support DorSAR search for a child reported missing in Lychett Matravers. Search Dog Oscar, Handler Steve and Op Support Serena were deployed but stood down on route when the child was located safe and well. The team are pleased to see Oscar back as an operational dog attending callouts after a long recovery from an injury.

Continuation of search for the missing Swanage man. Wendy, Nick joined foot search teams at lunchtime, Serena attended later in the day. Throughout the day the teams searched coastal areas and they worked into the night with deteriorating visibility due to a sea mist. Dawn was stood down on route when the foot teams stood down at 2300. The search effort continues. Click for Police Appeal

Callout to assist DorSAR search for a missing 67 year old man in SWANAGE with dementia. The man was last seen at 3am and there was growing concern because he would not have taken essential medication. Immediate Callout to assist DorSAR search for an 87 year old man who had been reported missing since 1730 from his Care Home in Westbourne. The team had just finished training and Laurence, Wendy, Serena and Kath diverted from their journey home to attend the Callout. The team were deployed to complete an urban search but as soon as they started they were stood down when the man was reported to be at a local hospital. The man had walked quite a distance before falling and a member of public had called an ambulance.

Callout to assist DorSAR to search for a missing 30 year old male in Northbourne, Serena and Wendy attended but were stood down on arrival when the missing person was found safe. There was news of another possible callout so they both stayed at the RV until news came through that a search team was not needed.

Callout to assist DorSAR search for a man reported missing in WAREHAM . There were growing cncerns about his welfare. Team training had just finished and Serena went direct to the callout. Wessex 4×4 were on hand to take search teams to their areas, just as Serena’s team were getting into the 4×4 they were stood down when the man was found safe and well.

Continuation of Search on PORTLAND for missing Samuel White. The Continuation of the large scale search involving Dorset Police, DorSAR, Dorset Search Dogs, Hampshire Search Dogs, RNLI, Coastguard and Wessex 4×4. Serena attended and joined DorSAR search teams with the continuation of an urban search and areas around stone quarries.The local community supported the search and kindly looked after the search teams with refreshments in the Kimberlin Centre . Tragically the young man’s body was found in the afternoon. Our thoughts are with the friends, family and local community.
