Our dedicated team of dogs, handlers and operational supports make themselves available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
As members of Lowland Rescue we work closely with neighbouring Lowland Rescue Search Dog teams.
Our members are all trained to levels specified by Lowland Rescue and each dog and handler is individually assessed to the high standards agreed by the Lowland Rescue Committee.
Dorset Search Dogs, in collaboration with Wessex Rescue, had a productive day on the water, participating in a filming session with BBC South. The coverage highlighted the fruitful partnership between the two teams, emphasizing the positive impact of grants received from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks.
During the day,Β a working demonstration took place in Poole Harbour, featuring our remarkable search dog Rufus in action, successfully locating a person in the water. Following the demonstration, team members were interviewed, shedding light on our operations and the significant benefits granted to both teams, both on and off the water.
To conclude the day, an exciting announcement was made by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, awarding Dorset Search Dogs a further grant to support our Water Search Dog Project.

We are thrilled and excited to have been shortlisted to be one of πAFCB'sπCharity Partners for the 25/26 and 26/27 seasons.
We are all volunteers and rely entirely on people's generosity to continue to, with our amazing dogs, assist the police and our colleagues in other search and rescue teams to search for vulnerable missing persons.
We are on call 24/7, 365 days a year.
On average we assist in over 75 callouts a year. That's 75 missing people who need to be found, 75 families and loved ones who desperately want their family member or friend found.
We could not help with searching for them without the support of others.
Being one of our amazing local Premier League football team's charity partners would phenomenally assist us both financially and in raising awareness of what we do.
If you are one of the following ( or know someone or a business concern who is, or you could share this to help us achieve the partnership with the Cherries):-
πAn AFCB supporter
πA Net business partner/member

πA Junior Cherry
