I joined the team in October 2008 after becoming interested in the search and rescue through my work. I had seen firsthand what a valuable asset and resource the team were for such a vast rural area .
In February 2008 I got Rodney through the English Springer Welfare Society he was a cute 8 month old and had a restricted life with little experience of the outside world. He now has the life of riley with his brother Arnie also a Springer.
Rodney has always had a keen interest in people and is a lively fella and I felt he would make a great search dog, he is currently learning the basics but as a proud mum, handler and with a biased view he is doing brilliantly! Although the obedience we are working on.
