Dorset Search Dogs becomes a registered Charity |
Book Dorset Search Dogs to display at your event...The team are very happy to attend your fate, festivals, shows and displays to hold some mock searches. We are always a crowd pleaser! All we need is a small patch of land (with a few hidding places), slightly away from any other displays and we're do the rest. We normally raise money by letting people "GET LOST AT NO COST. GET FOUND FOR TWO POUND". Email info@dorsetsearchdogs.org.uk for more information or to book us for your event. |
News of 2012January - The team successfully register Dorset Search Dogs with the Charity Commission. Our charity number is 1145479.

News of 2011The team develop a six week beginners search dog training course for young dogs and enthusiastic handlers.
July 2010 - Andy LOWE was set a challenge... "Use your ebay skills to buy and sell items to raise money for Dorset Search Dogs". In July 2011, Mr LOWE handed over an envelope which contained £50 for the team!! He is still at it and promises more! Thank you Andy! The team challenge the Sea Cadets to "GET LOST" in Delph Woods. The cadets donated £2 if they were found and fined £5 for cheating i.e. escaping and evading once located, moving out of the search area. The team held a "GET LOST" event at SANDFORD MIDDLE SCHOOLS open day. We raised almost £150! The team raise £75 from RINGWOOD SCHOOL 999 open day. Not bad considering the torrential rain! HILLSIDE VETS in Corfe Mullen ran a dog first aid event for the team and raised over £300 for the team. 10th December 2010 - Chilli Whites night clib in Bournemouth donated the takings on the door to Dorset Search Dogs! St Peters Finger Pub assisted Dorset Search Dogs by hosting a pub quiz. September 2010 - Many thanks to the Winton United Reformed Church Circle of Friends who kindly made a donation to Dorset Search Dogs. September 2010 - Matt becomes a national Lowland Search Dog assessor.
February 2010 - A huge thank you to the Herston Wives who picked Dorset Search Dogs as one of their chosen charities to benefit from all their fundraising efforts. January 2010 - Many thanks to Glenn and Lynn Cooper who took time out of their own fundraising efforts to help Dorset Search Dogs raise £250 from a pub quiz. News of 200910th September 2009. Fairoak, Hampshire. Charlie finds missing male. Unfortunately the male was found deceased. Friends of Kinson Common The team receive over £60 in donations from visitors to their stand at the Friends of Kinson Common show. Team deploy to Ascension Island, South Atlantic February 2009 - The team were deployed to the Ascension Island, South Atlantic, to help find a missing female. 16th January - the team were called to assist find the driver of an upturned car on the A350 in the early hours of the morning. Man would have frozen to death A tribute to volunteer search and rescue teams. 10th January 2009 - A DISTRESSED man was airlifted from an area of heath land in Poole on Thursday night in what Dorset Police have described as a “major search”.
