15 December 2011 13:18. Callout to assist HantSAR to search for a suicidal male missing in the CREECH WOODS area of SOUTHWICK. The team were located at 1410, alive but unwell.



05 December 2011 23:58. Callout. Missing 48 male with autism/aspergers missing since earlier that evening in the Sutton Scotney area. Kev, Daz and Dan attended from LSD Southern however no Dorset Search Dogs were available.

27 November 2011 15:12. Standby notification to assist SurreySAR search for a missing 61 year old female in FETCHAM, SURREY.



27 November 2011 08:45. The team were called to assist with a search in BRADFORD ON AVON to search for a missing 54 year old female despondent. The female was located within the hour prior to any dog deployment.



23 November 2011 09:00. Callout to assist HantSAR search for missing Mavis Hardy, 77, missing from FORDINGBRIDGE. No dogs were available to attend on this second day of the HantSAR callout. Daily Echo: Appeal to help find missing Fordingbridge pensioner Mavis Hardy.



20 November 2011 11:44. Callout to assist HantSAR and Lowland Search Dogs Southern search for a missing 38 year old suicidal male near to the NEW PARK show ground, BROCKENHURST. Matt and Charlie arrived at the Rv. at 13:00 with Erica and Freya arriving a short while afterwards. The team were not deployed as fresh information came into the police concerning the males whereabouts. The team were kept in reserve in case an immediate search of an area was required. The male made contact with the police and the search efforts were stood down at 15:00.



18 November 2011 19:30. Callout to assist Portland Coastguard search for a missing kite surfer in POOLE HARBOUR. The kite had been found jettisoned in the water and it was feared that someone may either be in trouble within the water or in difficulties somewhere along the shoreline. Matt, search dog Charlie and Laurence supporting, all responded but were stood down prior to deployment as enquiries into the found equipment continued. 18 November 2011 10:59. Callout to assist HantSAR and Lowland Search Dogs Southern search for a missing 43 year old male, described as having severe learning difficulties. He was missing since the evening before in the BROCKENHURST area. Matt and Charlie were immediately on route with Erica and Freya soon to attend. The team, however, were stood down on route when the male was located safe and well.



05 November 2011 09:00. The standby from the previous day went to a planned search. Still no dogs were available. PRESS: Appeal for sightings of missing Hydestile resident. UPDATE: Missing Hydestile Woman found safe and well



05 November 2011 10:30. Callout to assist WiltSAR search a riverbank in CHIPPENHAM for a male missing since the previous Wednesday. Unfortunately, despite all the requests, still no team members were available.



04 November 2011 22:49. Callout to assist SurreySAR search for a missing 40 year old female believed to be suffering from mental health issues. She had recently been a missing person and had just gone missing again. No dogs were available.



04 November 2011 21:02. Standby to assist Surrey search for a missing 22 year old, female, despondent missing near MILFORD RAILWAY STATION in GODALMING. No Dorset Search Dogs were available to attend.



01 November 2011 16:00. Callout to assist Lowland Search Dogs Southern search for a missing 14 year old female who went missing in the woods following a party. No Dorset Search Dogs were available to assist with this search. It was during this search that search dog Zak, handled by Kev from LSDSOUTHERN, went missing. Zak had got snagged on a branch in deep vegetation. The female turned up safe and well but now all search efforts were directed towards finding the hero search dog Zak. The police dedicated a great resource to help find Zak, even directing the police helicopter to search the area on its way back from another tasking. With no heat sources visible from the helicopter the team went back in with Animal Rescue teams and USAR national team on standby in case Zak had fallen into some unused tunnels. Fortunately, Zak found his way to safey, looking somewhat dishevelled, still carrying clues that he was trapped on his fur! A huge thank you to Hampshire Police for their superb efforts in coordinating the search!



01 November 2011 19:20. Standby to assist Portland Coastguard search a large area in the Solent due to the discovery of a recently sunk Yacht. The yacht, Nicola, appeared to have been set a drift unmanned before it sank off the Dorset Coast. The owners were traced, alive and well, out of the country! Matt and Erica were standing by with search dogs Charlie and Freya, respectively. The team were stood down at 02:29 hours that same night.

31 October 2011 23:21 hrs. Callout to assist Sussex Search Dogs search for a missing 72 year old male at EASEBOURNE, MIDHURST, WEST SUSSEX. The male went missing having dropped a friend off at a hospital appointment. No team members were available to assist with this search.



30 October 2011 17:56 hrs. Standby to assist Surrey Search Dogs find a missing 34 year old female missing from St PETERS HOSPITAL, OTTERSHAW. Matt and search dog Charlie were available to attend if required however the team were stood down at 21:07 as the search efforts were winding down for the night. Police appeal for sightings of missing Australian woman



02 October 2011 17:55 hrs. Day 2 of search for the male missing in PARK GATE. No dogs were available to attend. Andy was preparing to support Southern dogs later however, the team were stood down at 22:16 hours, prior to deployment. UPDATE: Woman found safe after missing for six days.



01 October 2011 23:17 hrs. Callout to assist Lowland Search Dogs Southern and HantSAR search for a missing male in the PARK GATE area of SOUTHAMPTON. No dogs were available to attend.

28 September 2011 22:20. Callout to assist HantSAR search for a missing despondent male, 57, missing in the area of St MARY'S HOSPITAL, PORTSMOUTH. Dorset Search Dogs were unable to attend the callout that evening however the male was location at 23:45 by the police helicopter.



28 September 2011 17:22. Congratulations to Daz with search dog Kip from LSD Southern who found a missing despondent male in IPING COMMON near MIDHURST. The male was a little hypothermic and dehydrated after being in the woods for a good three days. Dorset Search Dogs were unable to attend this callout.



25 September 2011 18:29. Standby to assist the newly formed Surrey Search dogs search for a missing female, 53, believed to be lost in the WOTTON area of DORKING. Matt and search dog Charlie were available to attend. At 20:05, the team were stood down.



23 September 2011 09:00. The team were called to assist with day two of the HARDY'S MONUMENT search. Unfortunately, no team members were available to search until later that evening when the search efforts were being scaled down. Family's heartfelt appeal to missing man.



22 September 2011 17:55. The team were called to assist in the search for a missing 43 year old despondent woman, believed to be in the SAVERNAKE FOREST, MARLBOROUGH. No team members were available to attend. The team were stood down at 18:59 when the missing female was located by a member of the public.



22 September 2011 12:46. After a period of the team being placed on standby, the team were called at 12:46 to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police Search for missing NICHOLAS CROCKER. Information suggested that the 55 year old male may have been in possession of a firearm. Although no search dogs were required, Matt and Laurence were preparing to search on foot that evening. 20 September 2011 10:40. The team were placed on standby to potentially help search for a missing 15 year old, blind despondent in the BOTLEY area, HAMPSHIRE. Erica was prepared to search with Freya, supported by Matt. The team, however, were stood down at 13:05 once the male had been located safe and well.



19 September 2011 23:44. Matt and Erica responded to a request by DorSAR and Dorset Police to search for a missing 64 year old male, suffering with dementia. Unfortunately, search dog Charlie had picked up a slight injury a few days earlier so was unable to join the team and search dog Freya for the search near SHORE ROAD, POOLE. The team were stood down at 00:56 when police enquiries resulted in the male being found safe and well. He had fallen, earlier, some distance away from the place last seen in Bournemouth, suffering with concussion.



16 September 2011 13:10. The team were placed on standby to search for Leanne Turnball, 34, missing in the ALTON area of HAMPSHIRE. Matt and Charlie were initially available with Laurence supporting. At 15:48 the team were then called to assist. Matt and Charlie were now unable to attend but Laurence attended, searching with foot teams until just after 2200 hrs. The team were stood down for the night whilst police enquiries continued. The Romsey Advertiser appeal for help provides further details.



11 September 2011 20:13. The team were called out for 15 minutes following reports of a missing 80 year old male in the CANNON HILL area of WIMBORNE. The team were stood down when the elderly, confused male was located safe and well.



08 September 2011 01:35. Matt and search dogs Charlie assist HantSAR, Lowland Search Dogs Southern and Hampshire Constabulary search for a missing 42 year old female from the ELLISFIELD area of BASINGSTOKE. Matt and Charlie, supported by Erin from HantSAR searched 10 kms of routes and paths through heavily overgrown woodland near to the female's home address. Paul, with search dog Sam, searched a similar distance in an adjacent area in the same woodland. The team finished this search, following 3 hours of hard work, at 06:20 hours. After a quick snooze in the car, Matt and Charlie redeployed to work a further 6 km route through local woodland. Erica, with search dog Freya, arrived on scene but were stood down on arrival, along with the rest of the team when the lady was located.



04 September 2011 16:14. CALLOUT to BORDON, Hampshire to search for a missing 19 year old male. The male was described to be suffering from learning difficulties and feeling despondent. He was missing since 07:30 hours that morning. Matt with search dog Charlie were on route but were stood down on the way when the male was located.


August



28 August 2011 17:37. CALLOUT to assist Dorset Police locate a missing long distance runner who had failed to turn up following her planned run between LULWORTH and SWANAGE. Matt and Erica were on route with search dogs Charlie and Freya. Fortunately, the 30 year old female turned up safe and well in Swanage. One of her dogs got into difficulty and became injured along the route.



22 August 2011 17:54 CALLOUT to assist WilSAR search for a missing despondent female in POSTERNE HILL area of SAVERNAKE FOREST, MARLBOROUGH. Unfortunately, no one from the team were available to attend.



19 August 2011 13:58 STANDBY to attend CANTERBURY to search for a missing 71 year old male, suffering with dementia. A planned search was due to take place the following day. The team were stood down at 18:39 hours, that same day, when the male was located safe and well.



04 August 2011 12:44. Callout to WARSASH to search for a missing 26 year old despondent female missing from the COLDEAST area of Hampshire. No team members were available to attend prior to the team being stood down at 15:03. The female had been located.


July



29 July 2011 10:20. The team were placed on standby for the second day searching for the missing 71 year old female in SOUTH HARTING. The searching continued for another day until the female was discovered safe and well by police.



28 July 2011 15:36. The team were placed on standby to assist LSD Sussex for their search for a missing 71 year old female suffering with dementia. She was missing from SOUTH HARTING near PETERSFIELD.



23 July 2011 10:49. The team were called out for the second say of searches in WARMINSTER. On this occasion, Erica managed to get released from work and searched several routes and paths with search dog Freya.



22 July 2011 12:52. The team were called out to assist WILSAR with a search in WARMINSTER. A high risk, despondent, missing male had gone missing for a number of days from him home. Laurence attended and assisted WilSAR with foot team searches. He was stood down for the night at 2100 hours.



22 July 2011 04:03. The team were placed on standby by LSD Sussex during their search for a missing 74 year old female suffering with dementia. The search was taking place in ST LEONARDS near HASTINGS.



13 July 2011 07:44. The search continued for the missing elderly male in the ELVETHAM HEATH area of FLEET. Matt and Charlie responded and searched a large nature research surrounded by the ELVETHAM HEATH housing estate. They were supported by a local police officer. The search was very boggy underfoot with very dense vegetation to work through. Matt and Charlie departed following approximately four hours of searching. The male was later located by Kev and search dog Zak from LSDSouthern in another nature reserve. He was located alive but fairly unwell.



11 July 2011 20:58. The team were called out for a missing male in the ELVETHAM HEATH, FLEET. Initially, no team members were available to assist.


June



27 June 2011 20:32. The team were placed on standby for a missing 14 year old. She was missing from the WINCHESTER area and had a previous history of attempting self harm. At 20:53 hours the team were called out by HantSAR and LSDSOUTHERN to assist. Matt (with search dog Charlie), Erica (with search dog Freya) and Laurence all responded. They were stood down on route when the missing girl was located safe and well.



15 June 2011 05:11. The team were called out to assist WILSAR search for a missing male despondent, 58, in SALISBURY. No team members were available to assist.



4 June 2011 01:45. The team were called out to to assist with the search of a missing 46 year old female from PARKLANDS HOSPITAL, BASINGSTOKE. She had been missing since 20:20 hours the night previous. The team were stood down at 07:17 hours prior to departure. The female had been located by Joe, search dog Milo and Soraya from LSDSouthern.

31 May 2011 14:32. The team were placed on standby to assist HantSAR search for a missing 18 year old female suffering with bi-polar and depression. At 16:38 the team were stood down due to there being insufficient areas for dogs to safely search. Despite this, at 19:58 hours, the missing person was located by Daz from LSDSouthern.



26 May 2011 13:48. The team were put on standby to assist HantSAR and LSDSouthern search for a missing 46 year old despondent. She had been missing since the Tuesday in the HAVANT area of Hampshire. At 13:55 hours, the team were then called out to assist. At 16:39 hours the missing person was located prior to the teams attendance.



25 May 2011 16:42. Callout to assist WILSAR search for a missing thirty five year old male despondent from the SWINDON area. The missing person was located prior to the teams attendance. At 17:07 hours, the team was stood down.



04 May 2011. 02:52. Callout to assist LSD Southern and HantSAR search for a missing despondent male. His car was located near HIGHCLERE. None of the team were available due to work committments however the male was found by Jo and search dog Milo from LSD Southern.

27 April 2011. 19:16. Standby to assist Lowland Search Dogs Southern search for a missing six year old boy from BITTERNE. The team were stood down prior to deployment when the boy was in PORTSWOOD having walked there in bare foot.


March



25 March 2011. 08:33. Callout to assist WilSAR search the hillsides of STEEPLE LANGFORD and HANGING LANGFORD, Wiltshire, for a missing 57 year old despondent male. He was last seen on the previous day walking in the area. Matt and Charlie searched the hillsides near bounded by Dinton Drive, Wylye Road, Second Broad Drive and the byway. This was a large and relatively open steep sided area. The day was particularly warm which made search conditions fairly uncomfortable for Charlie. The team were supported by Gail from WilSAR. All teams were stood down when the male was located safe and well, by police, in a different county.



24 March 2011. 13:42. Callout to assist HantSAR for their second search of the day. This search was in order to look for a missing 68 year old male suffering with memory loss and M.S. Matt and Laurence were still available later that evening however they were stood down as search efforts were coming to a close for that night.



24 March 2011. 10:53. Callout to assist HantSAR search in KNOWLE VILLAGE near WICKHAM, HAMPSHIRE for a despondent female. Laurence and Matt were available to attend later that evening, however they were stood down when police located the female /*d



20 March 2011. 09:00. Callout to SAVERNAKE FOREST, WILTSHIRE to assist WilSAR search for missing 22 year old Sian O'CALLAGHAN. She was last seen leaving a local nightclub the previous night and had not been seen since. Her phone was last known to be used on the network in the forest. Matt, Laurence and Steve attended with search dog Charlie, sarching for approximately 3 hours doing a combination of areas and hasties within the forest. The following news stories refer... UPDATE: Following this search, over 400 members of the public assisted with extended search efforts in SAVERNAKE FOREST. Following CCTV enquiries, a taxi driver was arrest and during interview the taxi driver, Christopher Halliwell, indicated that he abducted Sian O'CALLAGHAN and gave the police the wereabouts of her body and another of a second females body, abducted from the Swindon area some years previous. Sians body was recovered near UFFINGTON in OXFORDSHIRE. Our thoughts are with Sians family and friends. BBC NEWS UPDATE



20 March 2011. 08:30. Callout to assist WilSAR search for a missing despondent male near SHREWTON, SALISBURY. Steve, Laurence and Matt (with search dog Charlie) were on route but were stood down on route. They were then re directed to the above second callout.



19 March 2011. 09:00. Day 2 of the BASINGSTOKE callout. Unfortunately no members of the team were available.



17 March 2011. 13:58 Callout to assist HantSAR and LSDSouthern search for a missing 56 year old male near BASINGSTOKE. Matt and Laurence (with search dog Charlie) were available later, as too were Erica (with search dog Freya) that evening but were stood down as search efforts were closing down for the night.



08 March 2011. 16:25. Callout to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police search for a missing despondent 82 year old male believed to be in the HENGISTBURY HEAD area of BOURNEMOUTH. Matt (with Charlie) and Erica (with FREYA) were on route with Laurence supporting and Steve attending later. The team were stood down on route when the male was located safe and well in the POOLE QUAY area.



04 March 2011. 11:04. Callout to assist HantSAR and Lowland Search Dogs Southern search for a missing 50 year old in the New Forest area. The inidividuals car had been located in OCKNELL PLAIN. Matt (with Charlie), Erica (with Freya), Laurence and Steve all responded but were stood down on arrival just as the person was located.

21 February 2011. 09:00. Callout to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police search for a missing male in the Durlston Country Park and Old Harry Rocks area of SWANAGE. Jessie Jones, 24 was last seen in East Bar in the early hours of the Sunday morning. He failed to turn up at his place of work on the Monday. Erica and Freya searched several paths throughout the day. Unfortunately, his body was found on the shoreline close to Old Harry Rocks some days later. The BBC story refers... 20 February 2011. 21:09. The team were put on standby to assist Lowland Search Dogs Southern and HantSAR search for a missing despondent male in the Easterrn Road area of PORTSMOUTH.

20 January 2011. 06:44. The team were put on standby to assist Sussex Search Dogs search for a missing 78 year old female from BOLNEY near HAYWARDS HEATH. Fortunately, despite a cold night, the lady was found safe and well in her dressing gown and slippers by a member of the public. The team were stood down at 09:36.



12 January 2011. 00:23. Callout to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police Search for a missing male from St Anne Hospital in Poole. Matt (with Charlie), Erica (with Freya), Laurence and Andy all responded. The team were stood down on arrival at the RV when the missing male was located safe and well nearby, by police officers. Many thanks to members from LSDSouthern who were turned round on route.



11 January 2011. 02:56. Callout to assist Sussex Dogs search for a missing mentally ill male in the SWANBOROUGH area of BRIGHTON. No dogs were available however the missing person was located and the team were stood down at 03:17.



10 January 2011. 01:15. Callout to assist Hants Police and HantSAR search for a missing despondent male in the LORDSHILL area of SOUTHAMPTON. Matt (with search dog Charlie) and Erica (with search dog Freya) responded but were stood down on route when police search efforts located the missing person.



04 January 2011. 14:47. The team were put on standby to assist Sussex Search Dogs search for a missing 82 year old male from the EAST GRINSTEAD area of WEST SUSSEX. The male was believed to be suffering from an alzeheimers/dementia type illness. Erica and search dog Freya were ready to deploy with Matt and Charlie available later on during the day. The team were stood down, prior to deployment, as there were plenty of local resources already searching the urban areas.
