10 November 2008 - Callout to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police Search for a despondent male believed to be missing in the MOORS VALLEY area of VERWOOD. Matt, Charlie and Andy responded but were stood down on route when new information came to light.
01 November 2008 - Callout at 0330 hours by Portland Coastguard to assist them and the Police search for a missing male at HENGISTBURY HEAD, BOURNEMOUTH. Andy was first on scene and took trainee search dog Charlie(2) out for a brief walk with Police, whilst Matt travelled with the other Charlie. 10-15 minutes into Charlie(2)'s walk, he ran deep into some bushes, came back to handler Andy and alerted that he'd found the male hiding deep in some undergrowth. Good work team - he'll be a qualified search dog soon!

29 October 2008 - Callout to assist Dorset Police and DorSAR in the search for a missing male in FOXLEASE, LYNDHURST. A large search contingency gathered to explore the grounds of FOXLEASE. The male was located fairly quickly by a DorSAR foot team.
25 October 2008 - Standby to assist WilSAR. The moment the standby text message was received, the individual was found and the team was stood down.
25 October 2008 - Standby to assist HantSAR in the search for a missing male in the RINGWOOD FOREST area. The team were not required following the standby notification.
22 October 2008 - Standby to assist Lowland Search Dogs Sussex in the search for a missing 53 year old female. The team were not required following the standby.
19 October 2008 - Callout to assist WiltSAR and Wiltshire Constabulary in the search of a male in his 80's, missing from the STOURHEAD HOUSE area of WILTSHIRE. Matt and Charlie, supported by Rob, searched into the early hours of the morning.
17 October 2008 - Callout - Assisting DorSAR and Dorset Police in the search for a missing male in the Queens Park area of Bournemouth. Matt, Charlie, Andy and Duncan were all stood down on route after the male was found.
9th October 2008 - Callout - Matt, Charlie, Gary Rob and Andy join DorSAR and Dorset Police in the search for a 65 year old female missing in the LYME REGIS area. The BBC story refers. and NEWS UPDATE (10 Oct 2008)
23 September 2008 - Day two of the Sussex callout. Unfortunately, there were still no Dorset Search Dog personnel able to give assistance.
22 September 2008 - Callout to assist Sussex Search Dogs in the search for a missing male from STORRINGTON near HORSHAM. Unfortunately, no Dorset Search Dog personnel were available.
22 September 2008 - Standby to assist HantSAR. 22 year old suicidal male missing in PARKHURST FOREST on the ISLE OF WHITE. Unfortunately due to ferry crossings not compatible with work committments, no Dorset Search Dog member was able to assist with the search.
22 August 2008 - Callout at 22:00 to assist Portland Coastguard and Dorset Police in the coastal search for a missing elderly resident from a care home in the MUDEFORD area of CHRISTCHURCH. Matt and Andy responded with search dog Charlie but were stood down on arrival when the male was located by the Ambulance service safe and well.
22 August 2008 - Callout at 10:21 to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police. A missing 41 year old suicidal person's vehicle was located at a car park at STUDLAND. The team were stood down 20 minutes later prior to arrival when the missing female had been located by the Police helicopter.
19 August 2008 - Callout at 05:20 hours to assist Lowland Search Dogs Southern for the search of a missing 44 year old male from PETERSFIELD, Hampshire. Due to work committments no dogs were available that morning but the team were stood down some 20 minutes later when the male was located alive and well.
15 August 2008 - Callout to assist HantSAR and Lowland Search Dogs Southern in FRITHAM for the search for a missing 67 year old male who suffers from Parkinsons disease. The male had gone out to photograph wildlife at 14:00 hours in the NEW FOREST but failed to return home. Matt & Charlie worked throughout the night with Daz, Rob and Andy supporting. Two large areas were cleared - concluding at 0400 hours. Matt and Charlie had to resume but the others continue searching further into the night. Search efforts continued the next day until the male was located by the Police plane, safe and well, if not a little cold.
23 July 2008 - Callout to assist Dorset Police in the search for a missing lady from the Ferndown area. Matt & Charlie attended the seen but were stood down on arrival once news came in from Hampshire Police that the female had been located safe and well in the FORDINGBRIDGE area of HAMPSHIRE.
06 July 2008 - Callout to assist Berkshire Search Dogs in their search for a 87 year old female missing from the NEWBURY area since 21:00 hours that evening. Matt and Duncan responded with search dog Charlie, but were stood down on route once the female had been found.
04 July 2008 - Callout to assist WiltSAR for their search for a missing male in Warminster. No Dorset Dog was available but the male was found by the Lowland Southern dog Sam.
28 June 2008 - Standby to assist Sussex Search Dogs in the search for a missing 30 year old despondent female from the Uckfield area of East Sussex.
17 June 2008 - Callout to assist WiltSAR and LSDSouthern in the search for a missing despondent male near CHIPPENHAM. The male was located by Search Dog Jenson and Handler Troy from LSD Southern. The Wiltshire news article refers...
16 June 2008 - Standby to assist SEBEV in their search for a 75 year old confused male missing in the OXFORD area.
09 June 2008 - Callout at 22:00 to assist Lowland Search Dogs Southern, our Hampshire based team, in the search for a 72 year old, confused male missing from the Bordon area of Hampshire. The team were stood down moments later when the missing male was found safe and well in Staines!
06 June 2008 - Callout to assist Hampshire Constabulary, HantSAR and LSD-Southern in the search for a 49 year old, despondent male, missing in the WICKHAM area of HAMPSHIRE. Matt and Charlie searched a small area with Daz supporting. Gary supported a Sussex Dog team. Nearing the end of their search, Gary's team located the male, who was unfortunately deceased.
01 June 2008 - Callout to assist Portland Coastguard - Clothing was found discarded on the beach, next to the BOURNEMOUTH PIER, in the late evening. Members of the public reported seeing two swimmers in trouble and could no longer see them. Andy responded in his Coastguard capacity, located the swimmers safe and well and stood down Matt and Charlie prior to departure.
31 May 2008 - Callout at 0400 hours to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police in their search for a 90 year old, confused male, missing from the LONG CROSS area of SHAFTESBURY. Matt and Charlie attended immediately with Andy supporting and Rob assisting with DorSAR foot searches. Charlie identified a definite area of interest but was unable to get into where the missing person was. Information was passed to DorSAR control who adapted their search plans accordingly. The missing person was located by a WiltSAR member exactly within the narrow scent path in which Charlie was trying to access.

28 May 2008 - Standby to assist SEDEV in their search for a missing 40 year old despondent from the BRACKNELL area.
15 May 2008 - Standby to assist SEBEV in their search for a missing 71 year old female from the MAIDENHEAD area. At 1200 hours, Matt and Charlie with Andy, Gary and Rob available, to support other teams if required, until they were stood down at 1700 hours when all immediately areas had been covered by local teams.
12 May 2008 - Callout to assist Dorset Police in the search for a 88 year old male missing from a care home in BOURNEMOUTH. The male was suffering with dementia and believed he was in London and was wandering the streets of BOURNEMOUTH trying to find a London address. The still air and very hot day meant that dogs would only be able to work much later on during the day. Fortunately, he was located safe and well by a member of the public some 2-3 miles away.
08 May 2008 - Callout to assist Portland Coastguard. A complete pile of clothes and an apparent abandoned vehicle was located at HENGISTBURY HEAD, BOURNEMOUTH. Matt & Charlie (with Duncan and Andy supporting) responded. This was a hot and busy day that would have made searching with dogs very difficult, however Charlie was going to be deployed on a boat in view to track scent across water to locate a body. The team were stood down on arrival when the abandoned car was claimed. The clothes were believed to be spare clothes left unattended on the beach. The BBC story refers.
07 May 2008 - Standby to assist SEBEV, searching for a missing despondent female in the Bracknell area. The female was located by police prior to dogs being required
06 May 2008 - Callout to assist Dorset Police in their search for a 89 year old, confused male, missing from Alderney Hospital since 19:25 hours. The team was stood down, before being tasked with an area, once the male was located safe and well nearby.
04 May 2008 - Callout to assist Portland Coastguard in their search for a missing cyclist who fell from his bike in HENGISTBURY HEAD, BOURNEMOUTH. The team responded immediately after the LINFORD call out. The missing cyclist was located by the Coastguard just as Matt and Charlie arrived on scene. He was then air lifted to Poole Hospital.
04 May 2008 - Callout to support HantSAR and Hampshire Constabulary in their search for a missing 50 year old female despondent. A suicide note and her car were found in the LINDFORD area of RINGWOOD. The team were called out at 19:45 hours with Matt & Charlie responding with Andy, Gary and Rob supporting. The team were stood down on arrival once the missing female was located safe and well by the Hampshire Constabulary air support.
01 May 2008 - Standby to support Lowland Search Dogs Sussex in their search for a missing despondent female from the Hastings area. She was located safe and well asking for assistance prior to Dorset Search Dogs being required.
27 April 2008 - Matt and Charlie (with Andy supporting) were called away from the assessment day early in order to assist HantSAR in their search for a missing 41 year old male despondent who went missing in the Fairoak area of Eastleigh. Rob and Gary were available to support but were not immediately required. The team were stood down on route when the male was found and detained under the mental health act.
24 April 2008 - Callout to assist Dorset Police. The male from the day before ran away from home again. He was quickly contained in woodland by Police Officers. Matt and Charlie were tasked to attend the scene quickly before he slipped through the net and before other teams were needed. The team were stood down minutes later after the male had been located safe and well by a tracking police dog
23 April 2008 – Callout to assist Dorset Police in their search for a missing 16 year old despondent boy who ran away from home. The boy was last seen in a field heading towards dense woodland. Matt and Charlie (with Duncan supporting) attended at 1130 hours. Andy supported Berkshire Search dogs who were promptly called for along with DorSAR, Southern and Sussex search dogs when the scale of the search requirements was realised. Charlie worked hard until 2200 hours clearing three large wooded areas with Sam and Paul from Southern. The male was found sat outside Shaftsbury Police Station at 0330 hours.

19 April 2008 - Standby to assist Berkshire Search Dogs in the search for a missing despondent male in WINDSOR. Rob available to support. Unfortunately the male was found deceased in a river prior to Dorset Search Dogs being required.
12 April 2008 - Callout to assist Berkshire Search Dogs in the search for a 70 year old who went missing over night. Unfortunately no dogs were available and other teams had sufficient support. The team were therefore placed on standby should more support be required.
09 April 2008 - Callout to assist HM Coastguard and Dorset Police in the search for a missing male from Devon, believed to be missing in the WORTH MATRAVERS area. Matt and Andy (with dog Charlie) responded to their second search of the day but were stood down on route when up-to-date intelligence showed the male was not in the county.
09 April 2008 - Callout to assist Dorset Police and DorSAR at 10:30 hours in the search for a missing 50 year old male despondent whose car was left near BURTON BRADSTOCK. Matt and Andy responded (with Dog Charlie) to search along small patches of dense vegetation next to open paths and fields. Further searches were conducted from HYTHE beach sweeping back towards COGDEN beach car park. The missing person was located in opposite direction by DorSAR members. This was an extra search we all felt was necessary before being stood down.
06 April 2008 - Callout to support WiltSAR for day two of their search for the two autistic teenagers. Matt, Andy, Rob and Gary (with Dog Charlie) all responded but were stood down on route once the teenagers had been located
05 April 2008 - Standby to support WiltSAR in their search for two autistic teenagers, missing from the day before, in the SAVERNACK FOREST area. Andy responded that night to support LSD Southern but unfortunately his car broke down on route.
18 March 2008 - Callout to assist WilSAR in their search for a missing 15 year old autistic girl in LAYCOCK. The girl was located on a train in Portsmouth 15 minutes after the call out.
17 March 2008 - Callout at 15:30 hours to assist Dorset Police search for a missing female despondent in BOURNEMOUTH. The missing ladies car was found at THROOP MILL CAR PARK. The river course, surrounding fields and woodland were searched. Charlie & Matt (Duncan and Andy Supporting) responded tasked to focus on the woodland near HURN COURT. This search was very wet underfoot with a fast flowing river adjacent to the search area. Charlie searched continuously for 1.5-2.0 hrs, dusk to darkness. The females body was recovered several days later further down the river.
15 March 2008 - Callout Assist SEBEV in WINDSOR at 0400 hours in the search for a 19 year old despondent with mental health issues. Matt, Duncan and Andy with Dog Charlie were stood down on route when the missing male was located.
12 March 2008 - Standby to support WiltSAR in the search for a 19 year old male who had allegedly took an overdose. The male was located prior to the team being required.
07 March 2008 - Standby to support Hampshire Police in COLD HARBOUR, LYNDHURST in the search for an 84 year old male who went missing the day previosu. Unfortunately none of the team were available to assist the search efforts. The males body was found on a golf course two days after his disapearance
27 February 2008 - Callout to STURMINSTER NEWTON at 1522hrs Missing. A 22 year old male with autism went missing in the Marnhull area. Matt/Charlie with Andy supporting responded to the call. However the team were stoodown on route when the missing person was found safe and well.
2007 Callouts
8th December 2007 - Missing 77yo Female found safe and well.
Matt & Charlie, supported by Rob are joined by Meeko and Ian and from Hampshire in assisting Dorset Police locate a missing female in the Ferndown area of Dorset. The 77 year old female took her dog for a walk at around 1600 hours on the Saturday and did not return home. Charlie and Meeko worked together, clearing off large sections of the heathland around Ferndown with DorSAR members searching the adjoining roads and areas. In the early hours of Sunday morning, Charlie located the female in heavy undergrowth just off of a track (see map). The lady was found with her dog, cold and slightly injured but was otherwise in high spirits.

22 - 23 November 2007 - Matt & Charlie assisted Dorset Police in the search for a missing 19 year old despondent from the Bridport Area. Having located his car at Durley Chine, Bournemouth an extensive search was conducted of the cliff tops, shoreline and chines. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of Dorset Search Dogs, Police, Coastguard and DorSAR the male remains missing. The BBC story refers.
15 November 2007 Callout to support Dorset Police in there efforts to find an elderly despondent male missing from Broadstone. Matt & Charlie responded with Duncan assisting prepared to search Delph Woods, Broadstone. A very brief search was conducted of the males garden before he was located by Police, unfortunately deceased.
14 September 2007 Callout supporting Dorset Police searching for a 43 year old missing man. Matt and Charlie searched large areas of Canford Heath, Poole until the early hours of the morning. The man was found alive and well.
07 September 2007 Callout supporting Hampshire Police and many other agnecies in there extensive land search for a missing despondent 15yr girl missing from New Forest. Matt and Charlie responded from Dorset with Duncan supporting. This was a very large search with the dogs working for several hours at a time. Despite the efforts, the girl was not found by the searchers. She was found several days later by members of the public, 9 miles outside of the search area and her point last seen. 22 July 2007 Callout to support Dorset Police and DorSAR with the search of CHESIL BEACH shore line for a missing Fisherman. Matt & Charlie supported by Duncan responded from Dorset Search Dogs with Cynthia/Carraigh , Paul/Sam, Vanessa/Zoe Daz, Lyn, and Tom from our Hampshire based team assisting.
03 July 2007 - Call out to assist Hampshire Police with HantSAR and LS Dogs Southern in the search for an abandoned one month old baby. Matt and Charlie responded with Duncan supported but were stood down on route. The incident was a malicious report to the police which led to the arrest of a female.
16 June 2007 - Call out to assist Wiltshire Constabulary and WiltSAR in the search for a missing middle aged man who had gone missing from his home near CHIPPENHAM. Matt and Charlie responded with local police officers acting as support. The search consisted of checking farm buildings with adjoining fields and a route and path search of local overgrown tracks. The weather conditions for this day was sporadic heavy rain with sunny periods...
26 February 2007 - Callout to assist SEBEV to search the following morning for a 30yr male.Slough area.Matt/Charlie and Duncan as support attended.No trace at this time.
